Community Faces

The Big Camera! partnered with A1LabArts to produce and install Community Faces. Donna Moore wrote a grant to bring to fruition a long-time dream project. The Tennessee Arts Commission generously supported the project along with other individual donations. Donna, Anna Lawrence and several guest photographers came together to take 175 portraits of individuals in their Communities.

The installation was made possible by the printing services of Knoxville Blue Print and the walls of Crafty Bastard Brewery, Architectual Antics, Vinyard Floor Covering, and A1LabArts. We are eternally grateful for the support of these local businesses.

A big shout out to Wild Love Bakehouse, Central Filling Station, Broadway Studios and Galleries, MidMod Collective, KBrew, Gypsy Hands Healing Arts, FM George Locksmiths, Knoxville Firefighters Association, Wood Printing and all the local businesses that allowed us to come shoot portraits and get to know your employees!

While Community Faces debuted as a one-time project to create awareness of the wonderful diversity in Knoxville and strengthen community bonds, we were elated to be able to continue installations by partnering with other business. Today, we are still spreading kindness and getting to know our Community! Please reach out if you are interested in partnering with us.
